About the Role

We are seeking an NPD Engineer specializing in New Product Development to support product development projects from concept to mass production. The role requires strong technical knowledge, project coordination skills, and experience in automotive component development.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct technical feasibility studies and review customer requirements to provide engineering solutions.
• Handle RFQ activities and prepare technical inputs for customer discussions.
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation including BOM, process sheets, control plans, and work instructions.
• Manage engineering changes (ECN/ECR) and coordinate with Production, Quality, Planning, Purchasing, and Stores teams.
• Create and maintain material masters, BOMs, routing, and engineering data in SAP.
• Prepare technical drawings, layouts, and product documentation.
• Support prototype builds, trial production, APQP, PPAP, and SOP activities.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, Why-Why, and Fishbone analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
• 8–10 years of experience in NPD, Product Development, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Experience in automotive components such as locksets, switches, die casting, plastic injection, wiring harness, or similar products is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of: Engineering drawings & GD&T, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, SAP ERP, AutoCAD / SolidWorks (CATIA/Creo preferred), IATF 16949 standards
• Strong analytical thinking, communication, and project management skills.
