Job Overview
We are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join its product engineering team. The role involves designing and integrating electrical systems, wiring harnesses, schematics, and electrical components for medium- and heavy-duty commercial vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Design vehicle electrical systems, wiring harnesses, and schematics for commercial vehicles.
- Develop 3D wiring and harness designs using Siemens NX / Unigraphics NX.Create 2D harness drawings and electrical schematics.
- Integrate electrical components into vehicle platforms.Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs) and related 3D assemblies.
- Manage engineering data and designs in PDM systems such as Teamcenter.Ensure designs meet customer, supplier, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct design reviews and support design validation.Coordinate with suppliers and cross-functional engineering teams.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and improved installation/serviceability.
- Manage project timelines and engineering deliverables.
Requirements
- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Electrical Design Engineering.Experience in automotive electrical design is preferred.Experience with 3D CAD; Siemens NX experience is an advantage.
- Experience with electrical schematic design; Mentor Graphics VeSys is an advantage.
- Knowledge of vehicle wiring harness and electrical system design.Experience with BOM preparation and engineering documentation.
- Knowledge of PDM systems such as Teamcenter is preferred.Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Good communication, problem-solving, and task-management skills.Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Knowledge or interest in AI-enabled tools for electrical design engineering is an advantage.
