Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced NPD Engineer – Wiring Harness to support new product development projects from customer requirement analysis through mass production launch.

The role focuses on product design, process preparation, technical coordination, and ensuring successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze customer requirements, technical drawings, and project specifications.
  • Prepare 2D/3D wiring harness layouts, routing diagrams, BOMs, and technical documents.
  • Develop process documents including work instructions, assembly charts, and control plans.
  • Coordinate with customers on technical clarification, design changes, and project reviews.
  • Support prototype development, validation, pilot runs, and production launch activities.
  • Lead APQP activities, PFMEA/DFMEA, PPAP preparation, and submission.
  • Manage engineering changes (ECN/ECR) and evaluate impacts on design, materials, tooling, and cost.
  • Maintain BOMs, routings, work centers, and engineering data in SAP.
  • Collaborate with Design, Quality, Production, Purchasing, and Suppliers.
  • Drive cost reduction, productivity improvement, and quality enhancement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in NPD, Product Development, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Experience in Wiring Harness manufacturing or automotive electrical systems is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Wiring harness design, APQP,  PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC, IATF 16949
  • Experience with engineering tools such as AutoCAD, CATIA, Zuken E3.series, Creo, or similar.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP ERP is preferred.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
