About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Purchase Manager to lead procurement activities within a dynamic automotive manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic sourcing, supplier development, cost optimization, and ensuring a stable supply chain to support business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage purchasing activities for direct and indirect materials, components, consumables, and services.
  • Develop and execute procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, supplier performance, and delivery efficiency.
  • Identify, evaluate, select, and develop suppliers to build long-term strategic partnerships.
  • Lead price negotiations and implement cost reduction initiatives, including localization and alternative sourcing.
  • Ensure timely material supply to support production plans and customer requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with Production, PPC, Warehouse, Quality, Engineering, NPD, and Finance teams.
  • Manage purchase orders, supplier data, and procurement transactions through ERP systems.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the purchasing team to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Monitor procurement KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, safety requirements, and legal regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
  • 8–12 years of experience in Purchasing/Procurement within manufacturing industries (automotive preferred).
  • Minimum 3–5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, supplier management, cost analysis, and negotiation.
  • Experience with SAP or ERP systems.
  • Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Table, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis).
  • Good English communication skills.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
